Sudee..

Independent product designer

Currently, I design products across multidisciplinary domains. My core areas include furniture, lighting, tableware, websites, brand identity, logo design, and handicrafts. I enjoy working at the intersection of creativity, functionality, and strategy, transforming ideas into products and experiences that are both purposeful and visually compelling.

My approach combines research, user understanding, material knowledge, manufacturing feasibility, and attention to detail to create designs that are practical, aesthetically refined, and commercially relevant. Whether developing a physical product, building a brand identity, or designing a digital experience, I focus on creating cohesive solutions that solve real problems while delivering meaningful value to users and businesses. Working across diverse disciplines allows me to draw insights from one field and apply them to another, resulting in innovative, well-rounded design solutions that balance form, function, and craftsmanship. Beyond my design practice, I spent six years building and running my own design-led venture. Entrepreneurship taught me to think beyond aesthetics—understanding manufacturing, supply chains, sourcing, pricing, branding, operations, and customer experience. It strengthened my ability to make design decisions that are not only creative but also commercially viable and scalable. A significant part of this journey was working closely with Indian artisans and traditional craft communities. I explored indigenous materials, regional techniques, and handcrafted processes, with the aim of creating contemporary products that preserve India's rich craft heritage while making it relevant for modern markets. I believe good design has the power to bridge tradition and innovation, creating sustainable opportunities for craftspeople while bringing authentic Indian craftsmanship to a wider audience.
